NearMe feature works on an innovative Beacon technology that helps us to display information about wineries that are in your immediate proximity. Use NearMe feature when you are physically present in Wine Festival or a wine tasting event to view specific information about wineries near you.

What are Beacons and why should I turn on Bluetooth?

Beacons are small wireless devices that broadcast Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals to smartphones within a radius of about 50 meters. Unlike traditional Bluetooth devices, Beacons work on low energy and therefore have a minimal impact on your smartphone’s battery. You should turn on Bluetooth to read these signals on your mobile device.

How do you ensure data security and user privacy?

Beacons only emit an encrypted signal that makes no sense to a normal user. Our mobile application maps this signal with the data kept on enterprise grade secure servers. We promise to never track or store your information. Mobile Application can share product enquiries with sellers only after your explicit permission.

How do I save my favorite wines and what is its advantage?

Just tap the small ‘wine bottle’ icon near the wines image and the related wine will be automatically saved to favorites. Go to 'My Profile' page or click on the wine bottle icon at the bottom of the app to view saved wines and share its details with your loved ones.

What Mobile devices are supported?

The VanWineFest App is supported on most of the latest Android Smartphones (running Android OS 5.0 or higher) and iPhones (running iOS 8 and higher). You can also use the app on iPod Touch (5th generation) or later devices.

Why are some pictures blurry or take more time to load?

The Mobile App works on internet connection either from Wi-Fi or your cellular provider. Sometimes images take more time to load or appear blurry due to sporadic data connection. We are continuously working towards improving speed and user experience of our services.
